Common questions

Quick answers from the editorial desk

Why do you only list deregulated metros?
In regulated states the utility sets the supply rate by tariff, so there is no supplier-comparison product to surface. We track regulated states in /state but skip the city-level pages for them at v1.
How is the city list ordered?
By state, then by population. Larger metros first because that is where the supplier shelf is deepest. Smaller metros are still served — they just need a quote run via the wizard.
My city is not on the list — can I still get a quote?
Yes. The wizard at /get-started covers every ZIP in every deregulated state we operate in. The city pages are an SEO surface, not a coverage limit.
