Common questions
Quick answers from the editorial desk
Why do I need to know my utility?
Your utility is the entity that owns the wires, the meter, and the outage response. They do not change when you switch supplier. Knowing your utility tells us your delivery zone, which determines the supplier shelf and the rate quote.
How do I find my utility?
Look at your most recent electricity or gas bill — the utility name is the company name on the bill. If you cannot find it, the wizard at /get-started will infer it from your ZIP.
Does Seenra change my utility?
No. Your utility stays the same. The only change is the supplier-of-record on the supply line of your bill. Wires, meter, outage response — all unchanged.
Find your utility, lock the rate.
Same wires, same meter, same outage response — Seenra only changes the supply line.
